So here we are. It’s summer.
The school holidays are in full swing. And everything feels a little bit upside down.
Routines? Unreliable.
Energy? Erratic.
Focus? Somewhere between snack duty and crisis-managing a Lego war.
But here’s the truth I’ve been leaning into: You don’t need to be in “peak productivity mode” to be powerful.
You just need to stop fighting the season you’re in.
This time of year used to throw me completely off. I’d cling to structure, force schedules that didn’t fit, and beat myself up when I couldn’t “do it all” perfectly.
Now I don’t aim for balance. I aim for flexibility and a rhythm that actually works with the season I’m in, not against it.
Some days I’m running deep-dive client calls and mapping big visions.
Other days I’m making snacks on rotation, refereeing sibling squabbles and emailing from the garden lounger.
And while it’s messy as hell… it also feels alive.
More real. More flexible. More mine.
This isn’t about lowering the bar, it’s about changing the metric.
Less pressure. More presence.
Less hustle. More rhythm.
